About Us

ECFD is a Volunteer Fire Department that provides Fire, Rescue and EMS services to the Town of Corning.

East Corning Fire Department is one of three fire stations located in the Town of Corning. It was founded in 1959 by a dedicated group of community and residents and members of the fire service that recognized a need to change current firefighting operations.

We provide fire suppression, rescue and medical first responder services to a 37 square mile suburban/rural area.

We are actively recruiting members who want to serve their Community.

Ray Rhinehart Community Hall

The East Corning Fire Department operates and rents the Ray Rhinehart Community Hall for special occasions and individual/community events.  The hall offers plenty of space to satisfy most needs with an abundance of free onsite parking for you and your guests.

Firefighter of The Year

As a sign of respect and appreciation for Ralph’s years of dedicated service, the ECFD Firefighter of the Year Award (which he received in 1972) was renamed the “Ralph D. Miller Firefighter of the Year Award” at the department’s 50th Anniversary celebration in 2010.
